Active Older Adults Program
 
It’s never too late to feel great! Our Active Older Adults program is designed for men & women in their 50’s & older. We encourage our members to grow in the areas of physical, emotional & social well-being.
 
We offer Silver Sneakers classes which are innovative national exercise classes specifically designed for the unique health & physical needs of older adults.
 
Our social events include weekly Coffee Hours, potlucks, luncheons, day trips and more! Be sure to maximize your membership & take full advantage of all your YMCA has to offer!
 
*Don’t forget to have your Silver Sneakers card scanned at the front desk each time you visit the YMCA!

Silver Sneakers
 
SilverSneakers Classic
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance.
 
SilverSneakers Splash
Activate your urge for variety! Splash offers fun, shallow-water movement to improve agility and flexibility while addressing cardiovascular, strength and endurance conditioning. No swimming ability is required and a SilverSneakers kickboard is used to improve strength, balance and coordination.
 
SilverSneakers Yoga
This class will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures to increase flexibility, balance, and a range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
 
Gentle Yoga
This class is the perfect yoga/stretching class for beginners and seniors. All yoga positions can be done while seated in a chair or using a chair to help support and balance.
