During the summer months the Milton Branch YMCA serves lunches daily to many sites throughout Northumberland County. Approximately 350 children receive free lunches at the following sites: both
YMCA’s, Sunbury’s Playgrounds, the Salvation Army Camps, the Sunbury Community Pool and low-income housing.
The Sunbury YMCA delivers food from an area restaurant to Haven Ministry twice per week. Haven Ministry is a shelter in Sunbury for people who do not have a home.
The YMCA’s also host the Senior Coffeehouse for senior citizens:
Milton YMCA: Tuesday & Friday at 10:00 AM
Sunbury YMCA: Tuesday & Thursday at 10:00 - 11:30 AM
The YMCA’s also host annual events, such as the Milton YMCA Spring Fling (May), which is a one-mile walk/run foot race, the Sunbury YMCA 26-mile Bike Race (August) and 5K Foot Race (June), and both
YMCA’s host a golf tournament at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club (June).
